Why do you personally believe in seasonal detoxes and why are you focusing on sugar?

I can tell you I don’t do them to “drop weight fast.”

It is SO, SO TOXIC to think like that (please, don’t do a detox for that reason).

I do them for 3 reasons.

    • One, I know when my body needs a little extra TLC and a chance to reboot. You know…too many late nights, too much holiday wine,too many gluten-free baked goods, not making time for physical movement I love, feeling like my energy is off. (I’m a coach, not a saint.) Detoxing to me means giving my body a much needed break from having to work so hard to flush out toxins…even though I eat pretty darn clean, periodic breaks are needed.
    • Two, it is a great way for me to have my body adjust to the changing seasons and have my body move with nature.
    • And three, I also love taking time to see what my body needs, what changes she needs me to make, and where I need to add or take out something that is no longer working for me.

    When I listen, I get some really clear direction. Actually, that’s partly how this revamped detox was born. Here’s the story…

    About 8 months ago, mid-way through my own detox, I got some clear messages that I needed to specifically focus on sugar. (Not just the refined ones either!)

    I want to tell you that for me it wasn’t about losing weight (I was at a happy, healthy weight for sure), but my digestion and energy was off. I knew I needed deeper healing.

    So, after much time, research, and further study, I took my detox program and tweeked it to match women like me who might need to go to the next level of healing. Simultaneously, I let go of some toxic people and stress-inducing habits that I had been holding on to.
